The nightly entertainment was a highlight, with live music and traditional dance performances. I had the pleasure of taking the Sonesta St. George Nile Cruise, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Square pillars with carved images of the goddess Hathor guide visitors to the main shrine. Colorful reliefs show Nefertari making offerings to the gods and playing a sistrum (a sacred instrument in ancient Egypt). After check in, we freshened up in our cabin before heading to the dining room for lunch. Prince met us in the lobby and we drove to the east bank to visit the following temples. I always assumed cruise ships had tiny rooms making you feel like a sardine in a can, but I was relieved to find the opposite to be true.

After the tour, we will get back to our Nile Cruise boat for overnight. Then your tour guide will take you in a mysterious journey to land of secrets. This guided tour of today begins by visiting one of the most wonderful temples in Egypt, Temple of Horus in Edfu, which is considered to be one of the most well preserved temples in Egypt. Lunch will be served on board during sailing to the city of Kom Ombo.

After your tour, you will return to the Sonesta St George, and it will then depart for Luxor. The marvelously decorated Piano Bar serves a variety of cocktails and beverages accompanied by live music.
